Pet Friendly Parks and Off Lead Areas

Central Park on Forrest Street and Soldiers Park on Johnston St are both dog friendly, but please keep your dog on a lead at all times in these areas.

Fred Scharf, Lyons Park on Preston Rd is an off lead area, but please remember that if you allow your dog off lead, you must be confident that you have total control at all times. 

Harris Dam picnic area, can be found on Harris River Rd and is pet friendly but dogs must remain on a lead at all times due to 1080 baiting in surrounding areas.

Pet Friendly Businesses

Mucky Pups Dog Wash are open 24/7, cost only $10 for a warm wash, rinse, flea treatment and blow dry. You will find them at the western end of Forrest St near the Club Hotel.

The Colliefields welcome pets to join their owners to dine alfresco for breakfast and lunch. They will even provide a bowl of fresh water for your furry friend.

Wagon 357 is located in Central Park and pets are most welcome as long as they are on a lead.

Pet Friendly Walk Trails

The Karak Trail runs from the Cemetery all the way to Allanson

The Collie River Walk starts at Soldiers Park on Johnston St and does a loop over the bridge, along the far bank, back over the Swing Bridge and back along the near bank to your starting point at Soldiers Park

Please remember to pick up after your pet. There are doggy bags and bins provided at most parks around Collie.

Doggy Day Care – Coming soon!

In the near future, we hope to be able to announce short term day care (not overnight), for your pets, so you can go shopping or visit the National Park and know that your beloved pet will be well looked after. But more on that later.
